4 Year High School Program
Grades 9 - 12
High school students will receive the biggest benefits of the Canadian curriculum – global exposure and new perspectives that will place them in an excellent position for their further education and future careers. During grades 9 to 12, the course is completely integrated into the National Curriculum and is designed to ensure students realize their full potential.
Students must earn 30 “Ontario Credits” in total to receive their Canadian high school diploma. Credits can be obtained across four categories
Granted when students pass a course from the Canadian Curriculum that is not integrated into their National Curriculum.
Granted based on the equivalency of courses completed in the students’ National Curriculum. Here, students earn 8 credits per course from Grades 9 to 11 and 6 credits in Grade 12.
Granted based on the students’ completion of courses in their National Curriculum with the integrated Canadian Curriculum through summative assessments.
Students outside of Canada can ‘challenge’ a specific course for credits or obtain them through a Final Exam. Students may earn up to 4 credits with a maximum of 2 credits in any 1 discipline.
